Why an on-the-day coordinator is a good idea:
Stefanie:"It's a great idea to get an on-the-day wedding coordinator to relieve you and your family of any stress on the big day. Not only do I make sure that all of your suppliers arrive on-time and your furniture and decor are perfect ... I use my experience and knowledge that I've gained in the wedding industry to solve any problems that arise.
I once coordinated a wedding where the DJ had forgotten his RCA cords (the ones that give you sound) and when he realised at 5:30pm (6:00pm reception start time), he went into melt-down panic mode!
I immediately drove the 25-minute round trip to Bunnings to buy the cords and made it back to the venue with 5 minutes to spare. The cords were $40 and It definitely wasn't fair for the bride & groom to wear this cost... so I returned them to Bunnings the following day and got a full refund.
Still to this day, nobody except the DJ and myself know what happened.
Can you imagine arriving to your reception to no music playing? This situation was avoiding by having an on-the-day coordinator."
